Screen Printing
What is Screen Printing?
In a nutshell..screen printing is very hands on process where ink get "pushed" through a screen that has been coated with light sensitive emulsion. Then the screen(s) get "burned" (exposed to light for a specific amount of time) with your design using a special film, and then rinsed out leaving the image on the screen. Every different color of ink requires a different screen, which means that multicolored jobs require multiple screens. Every screen used for each job is registered on a press so that all colors align properly and are placed in the correct location on your garment. Then ink is pushed through each screen, leaving your design imprinted on a garment, koozie etc. The ink is then cured to a specific temperature making it permanent. Due to the extensive setup involved, the screen printing process is best suited for larger quantity orders. Unlike vinyl or other transfer methods, screen printing can outlast the life of the shirt.
So.. how much does a shirt cost?
That's probably the most commonly asked question but the trickiest to answer due to all of the variables that go into screen printing. Pricing is based on the number of colors in your design, the quantity of shirts, and style of garment you choose.

Shop Garment Styles

Contact me for a full estimate. Please keep in mind that garments and sizes go in and out of stock quickly due to supply chain issues and may not always be available for ordering. We do not print on customer supplied items.
Minimum Order Quantity
The minimum order is 12 pieces for screen printing (1 color)
When adding youth and toddler sizes to your adult size shirt order, image re-sizing may required to account for the smaller shirts and there will be an additional fee for screens & films, per color and will count as separate orders. In some instances we can print all designs as large as the smallest shirt will allow.
Price Breaks
Pricing is based on the quantity of garments ordered. The higher the quantity, the lower the cost. Price breaks are set at 12, 24, 36, 72, 144..
It is possible to mix and match garment types to get a higher price breaks. (ex. if you order 24 t-shirts and 12 sweatshirts--as long as the design is the same for all garments-- you can take advantage of the 36 qty price break.)
Quantity of 12: 1 color print max
Quantity of 24: 2 color print max
Quantity of 48: up to 4 color print max
Quantity of 72+: up to 6 color print max
*Please note- dark garments always require an underbase which counts as an additional color.

Artwork
Art should be sent in one of the following formats: PSD, AI, EPS, PDF, TIFF, JPEG. Non-vector art files should be 300 dpi or higher. All fonts in AI files must be outlined. All fonts in PSD must be rasterized.
Have an idea, but no design? No problem. We're happy to work with you to create an appealing design. The design fee is $40.00 per hour (1 hour minimum.) A design estimate can be provided. Design work can be billed separately prior to placing an actual garment order if you wish. All design work must be paid 100% in full prior to beginning the design. (Don't worry you'll get to make revisions and changes to it along the way and we won't print until you're satisfied.) By paying 100% in full for your design means that you're fully committed to the project and we won't spend time designing for free and/or you take our artwork to someone else.)
Artwork may also be submitted by the customer, however, if it is not print ready (ie. pixilated, low resolution etc.) and requires re-digitizing it will also be subject to art fees of $40/hour(1 hour min)
All graphic design work is property of Ashley Denio Studios. It cannot be utilized for any reason without written consent or payment terms being established.
We are not responsible for any errors such as: spelling, graphics, grammar, punctuation that are approved by the customer.
The customer assumes full responsibility for the use of any trademarked or licensed images.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
All customers are required to pay 100% in full at the start of an order. I will not begin your order or any artwork prior to receiving the full payment. As previously mentioned, design work can be billed separately if you wish to just start with the design. Once the job has been approved by the customer, no changes are allowed. (ie. to artwork files, job characteristics, garments etc) Once you have approved an order, it can not be cancelled and you are responsible for paying the full amount.
Sales Tax
6% PA sales tax will be applied to all orders unless you are tax exempt and provide a valid tax exempt letter.
Show your apparel some LOVE!
We recommend turning the garment inside-out, machine wash on cold then dry on a low temp setting. While you can wash normally, this method will help keep prints looking their best. (Due to a wide variety of laundering and wear situations, Ashley Denio Studios will not guarantee any garment or print damages.)
